5 Treasure Island Tiki Bar Beverages

Treasure Island Beach boasts everything that’s idyllic about a beach vacation: an infinite expanse of pristine water, soft sand underfoot, and comfy loungers for kicking back and relaxing. What’s missing in this equation is that umbrella-festooned cocktail. Enter Sandbar, the resort’s beachfront tiki bar, complete with a thatched roof and a killer libations menu to cap off a gorgeous sunset.

Here, you’ll find all sorts of rum-forward concoctions with inventive names, like the fruity Strawberry Mo-Tito and the Teenie Bikini. So, if you have a hankering for a layered-up, sweet drink, read on to find out what to expect at Treasure Island Beach Resort’s beloved beach-based bar – and the key ingredients to recreate these bright-and-refreshing cocktails at home.

Fresh Agave Margarita

This quintessential summer drink barely needs an introduction. It’s wildly popular, but it’s also deceptively simple; it takes a well-honed hand to get that sweet-tart balance just right. At Treasure Island Beach Resort’s new tiki bar, the classic version gets a bit of a sweet lift, thanks to the agave nectar that works well to tame the sharp citrus.

  • Sauza silver tequila
  • Fresh lime
  • Florida orange juice 100% organic
  • Agave nectar

Sunset Punch

True to its name, this pretty-in-pink libation delivers on everything you could hope for from a drink that was designed to serve (and please) a crowd. Raspberry and mango intermingle with orange and pineapple, and a splash of amaretto lends it a sweet and nutty profile. Fiery-red grenadine lights up the glass, much like that sunset up ahead.

  • Bacardi raspberry rum
  • Bacardi mango rum
  • Splash of amaretto
  • Fresh Florida orange and pineapple juices
  • A touch of grenadine

Teenie Bikini

Teenie might be in its name, but there’s nothing small about these flavors. This fun-loving cocktail packs a one-two punch with both coconut and mango rum, and even more fruity, vacation-inspired flavors, courtesy of the humble pineapple.

  • Bacardi coconut rum
  • Bacardi mango rum
  • Fresh pineapple juice
  • Pineapple slice

Strawberry Mo-Tito

Traditionally made with rum, mojitos are another beachside-bar staple. But this isn’t your run-of-the-mill cocktail. Vodka acts as this “Mo-Tito’s” base; which is then layered with muddled fresh strawberries, a splash of elderflower liqueur, agave and citrus and of course, the essential mint leaf – all topped with club soda for some gentle fizz.

  • Tito’s handmade vodka
  • Muddled fresh strawberries
  • Limes, mint and basil leaves
  • Touch of elderflower liqueur
  • 100% organic agave nectar
  • Club soda

Killer Colada

Is there anything more beach-appropriate than the piña colada? An instant mood-lifter, this iteration mixes tart, fresh pineapple, and pineapple juice with spiced rum, rounding out the drink with sweet coconut syrup.

  • Bacardi Superior Rum
  • Cream of Coconut
  • Fresh pineapple and pineapple juice
  • Topped with Bacardi spiced rum
