The Spa Group Getaway Guide to Jupiter

It’s been a long quarter. Time to grab a handful of your closest friends and retreat to Jupiter, Florida, for a rejuvenating spa-oriented getaway.

Nothing says peace and quiet like a destination spa retreat. And no location in Florida is more mellow than Jupiter, a quiet stretch on the Atlantic with very little traffic or big-city attitude. It’s also home to one of the top spas in Palm Beach: The Spa at Jupiter Beach Resort. Add in yoga sessions on the beach, quiet strolls through area parks, and cocktails on a beach hammock, and you’ve got the makings of group retreat that is all about maximizing relaxation.

The Spa Group Getaway Guide to Jupiter Beach

Where to Stay

The only beachfront resort in Jupiter, Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa sits on the largest private natural shoreline in Palm Beach County. In addition to its full-service spa, the resort is home to an oceanfront restaurant, a lounge with live entertainment, a pool with a rock waterfall, basketball and tennis courts, and more. For your group, book the Oceanview Penthouse Suite, a 1,300-square-foot space with room to sleep six, a shared living area decked out with dark hardwood floors, a wet bar, flat-screen TV, and floor-to-ceiling windows the look out to the ocean. And, if you book the penthouse under their Opal Spa Package, you get a $100 spa credit per night, breakfast daily per adult, and 15 percent off spa retail items.

Stretching in the Sand

Start your first morning off right with yoga on the resort’s private beach. Offered Thursday through Saturday at 8 a.m., the class welcomes all experience levels to stretch themselves physically, spiritually, and mentally to the sound of waves rolling on the sand.

Treat Yourself

Of course, it’s not a spa getaway without the spa itself. Six private treatment rooms, including a duet suite, make up the resort’s spa facility, featuring light blue walls, sculptures, modern lighting fixtures, and cozy teal chairs – stylish décor inspired by the ocean. Spend a whole day or book a handful of treatments to sprinkle throughout your stay, including in-room services. We suggest the two-hour Ocean Memory Ritual, a full-body treatment that wraps you in algae and concludes with a full-body essential oil massage, or the Men’s Sports Spa Package, a 50-minute facial, 50-minute deep tissue massage, manicure, and pedicure. After each session, unwind at the organic tea bar in the waterfall serenity room.

The Spa Group Getaway Guide to Jupiter Beach Lighthouse

Lighthouse Stroll

In between spa sessions, stroll through the 120-acre natural wonder of the Jupiter Inlet Natural Area. Because the protected estuary is located at the confluence of the Loxahatchee River and Indian River Lagoon, it’s home to one of the most diverse collections of habitats in the United States, earning it the designation of one of three “Outstanding Natural Areas” in the country by the Bureau of Land Management. In addition to exploring its cypress, rare coastal pine scrubs, and local fauna, check out the preserve’s namesake lipstick-red lighthouse. Open to the public, it offers the best unobstructed views of the inlet and Jupiter.

Let Your Hair Down

The spa at Jupiter Beach Resort also offers a full-service salon. In addition to manicures and pedicures, try any of the four nutrient-rich hair treatments, get a cut and/or color, or simply go for a blowout and style. There’s also a makeup artist on staff to show you how to apply your best look or make you up for a night out.

The Spa Group Getaway Guide to Jupiter Beach Hammock

Hanging Out

Perhaps one of the coolest – and least known – highlights on the resort property is the adults-only “hammock garden.” Nestled on white sand and surrounded by mangroves, the handful of hammocks makes for the ultimate place to retreat with a cocktail from the pool bar.
